We have been discussing model railroading a bit, so I did some searching. I didn't find much, and please forgive the quality, but these are some old pics. I scratch built a bed and snowplow for a little N scale truck
First up, the snow plow dump truck

In one of the corners in my shop there is 4 or 5 huge plastic totes full of railroad stuff. I have a ton of HO scale and N scale.
I wish I owned my own home so I could set it up again.

And I found one of my small diorama builds...

Same here. I really miss it a lot!

Love the detail.
I wish I had pics of some of the full dioramas. This was just some of the little detail stuff. I did find the beginning of one that ended up with a big scratch built trestle bridge...

A wooden tunnel portal was eventually scratch built and replaced the stone one.

That's exactly how I did it. I used the same foam board and used a heat gun to melt shape into it. That looks awesome.
Now a REALLY want to rebuild my trains.
I have both Analog and DCC locos. DCC is really cool.
The Analog I had set up as just an oval but was hid in mountain scenery so you couldn't tell it was.
The DCC system ran into the yard and different routes. I loved it.

A definite dream for me as well but I don't see that happening.

EDIT: I tried to resize my pics I found of my layout from another forum but just far to fuzzy resizing them for some reason.

EDIT: again :)
I went to one of my other forums I hang out in and I found some of the pics I posted. These just shows a couple of towns I built but couldn't find the mountains I had on the lay out.

The little airplane is a scratch build from popsicle sticks and I tacked it to a cloud backdrop.
The bridge is popsicle sticks.

And you still have this? That is awesome man!

It's all in plastic totes stored in my shop. My shop is a huge extra bedroom so it's cool in the summer, and warm in the winter.
When I saw the apartment I live in now, which is 3 bedroom, with a lot of space, I had visions of trains running everywhere. Then the RC bug bit me again, so one bedroom became an RC shop. Then after I became disabled, I could no longer sleep in my bed. So my bedroom became an RC storage area. I have lived here 6-1/2 years now and my son has never once slept in his room. He sleeps in whatever room I am in. He plays with not a single toy. So that room is about to be confiscated 😝

We don't sleep in the bedroom either and the wife keeps saying, get rid of the bed and start building the train again.
Our landlord just about sold this place a few months ago so I am kind of afraid of building anything anymore.

A few years ago a friend of ours we used to work with, brought over a big hefty lawn and leaf bag full of stuff. She brought it over thinking there was some stuff in it for the kids. OMG it was full a toy collection worth a few bucks. He apparently passed away and his wife just bagged it up and took it to goodwill.
She had no clue what was in it and our friend didn't even look.
I'll dig them out and snap a pic one of these days.

If you are worried about having to move, why not just go through with it? I personally couldn't live like that, thinking I might have to pack all this crap up. Wow, that would really suck. You could move in next door. There is an empty apartment here lol. But Indiana sucks.

Dam you guys got some crazy scale building skillz those are awesome well done gents. Very cool

Thx bro. It isn't as hard as people think. Just takes a little patience. It is a very relaxing hobby.

Sh*t I'm sure it's better then dirty jersey and the jersey shore. Guess where ever any one lives long enough it sucks🤣🤣🤣 well unless your in west or north west. In the mountains that's where I belong

Simply because I won't live in an apartment complex because I worked for them for years and I hate them.
Housing in my town is spendy and our house is really cheap rent. We are both on fixed income. That's the very reason I am building my X instead of buying it RTR.

All man needs to do is walk through an area. I want to find a place in the sticks and look like the mountain dew guy.
