Just announced by RPM is the new Front Skid Plate for the Traxxas Maxx. If you've been running a Maxx for any length of time, you already know the stock skid plate leaves the mounting screws exposed to every rock, curb and hard landing you throw at it. That's not just cosmetic, damaged screws can lead to wrecked bulkheads, and suddenly a simple scrape turns into an expensive teardown.
RPM redesigned the skid rib layout to completely shield the mounting screws from direct contact. Instead of the screws taking hits, the beefy skid ribs absorb the abuse and act as long-lasting wear surfaces. They also added a third skid rib over the stock two-rib design, which means better abrasion resistance, more strength and a longer service life when you're sending it off every jump and grinding across rough terrain.
